Alios closed his eyes as he stood there letting the breeze run through his now icy blue hair, his mind drifting to the past, his own past. Alios was a Paladin, and part of the Blood Knight Order, the guardians of Silvermoon. But to Snowolf he had been much more, a loyal friend, and wise teacher. Let me ask you something Snowolf. How long do you believe this Truce will last? Once the lich king is dead, what happens then? There is not a place in this world for what Ive become, High lord Darion spoke those words when the truce was signed. Alios spoke as he let out a long sigh The world is different, everything has changed. There is no longer a place for me here and to delude myself with false hope of a second chance is utter nonsense and foolish. Alios continued as his hand reached up behind him to grasp the hilt of his Rune blade.
The young paladins eyes filled with sorrow as a few tears rolled down his cheek, the thought of losing his master and good friend twice in one lifetime was almost too much for him to bear, his hand tightening on the hilt of his axe as he watched Alios turn to face him sword in hand. Snowolf it is time. The death knight declared as he gripped his sword with both hands and ran at the young paladin. The battle had begun, not a fight between master and student, or even between two friends. It was a fight between two warriors. In which there was only one end.
The battle raged on for what seemed to be an eternity, before one was on his back looking up at the other. You have done the Sindorei proud today Snowolf, You have become a fine Blood Knight. the death knight spoke with a cough, his armor broke, blood dripping from the edges of Snowolfs axe. Snowolf could hardly look at his master as he stood over his body. The young paladin knelt down next to the death knight as Alios drew his last breath and using two fingers he closed his masters eyes for the second time in one lifetime.
As the paladin stood, he struck his axe into the ground. Then removing his tabard he placed it lightly over the body of his master, the Blood Knight Emblem face up You where never the traitor Alios, I only wish this could have ended another way. The paladin spoke aloud as he turned away, with a sigh he glanced back at the body of Alios, before he proceeded to leave the platform of the spire. As the paladin entered the Ghostlands to head for Silvermoon, he spoke one last thing to his master Dont worry, I will keep that promise I made to you so very long ago.
